• Valid NYS 4-Wheel Drive Beach Access Fishing Permit
• Driver license
• Vehicle registration matching the permitted vehicle
• NYS DEC Recreational Marine Fishing Registry proof
• Fishing tackle for each person age 12 and older
• Tire pressure gauge
• Air down tires before sand access; 15-18 PSI is a common starting range, then adjust for vehicle weight, tire size, and conditions
• Full-size spare tire
• Jack rated for the vehicle
• Jack board
• Shovel
• Tow rope, tow strap, or chain
• Portable toilet where required by the permit guide
• Trash bags and cleanup supplies
• Flashlight or headlamp for night access
• Air compressor or air-up plan before road speed
